I have been taught to play the classical way, so lots of Bach and Vivaldi. Eventually I wanted to play something more modern, like blues, jazz or rock. I also wanted to put in some sound effects like distortion and reverb. The apartments I lived in were very noisy, so I did not dare to play acoustic. So that's were the idea of an electric violin came in (with an electric violin you can wear headphones).
Now after a long time, there is something tangible.
There's still a lot to do, because it's not exactly an ideal instrument as yet. The shoulder rest needs some thinking, there is none at the moment. Not really nice for long stretches of playing since you have to hold the violin weight with your left arm.
